Connect Four

About Connect Four

Drop your discs, build a line and block your opponent before they connect four in a row.

Connect Four sits in our Board & Classic collection on WeiNing Games. Like every game here it runs in the browser using HTML5, so there is nothing to install and nothing to wait for — open the page, tap play and you are in. Sessions are short enough for a break between classes or a commute, but the better you get, the more there is to chase.

How to play Connect Four

Click a column to drop your disc. Discs stack from the bottom up. The first player to line up four of their own colour horizontally, vertically or diagonally wins.

• Desktop: mouse and keyboard — click, drag or use the arrow keys.
• Mobile & tablet: tap, swipe or tilt depending on the title.
• Progress: most games save your best score or level on the device, so you can come back later.

Tips and tricks for Connect Four

• Control the centre of the board; central pieces have more legal moves.
• Think about your opponent's best reply before you make your move.
• Do not rush trades — count the pieces before you commit.
