Draughts

About Draughts

The classic board game also known in Malaysia as dam. Jump over your opponent's pieces and crown a king at the far row.

Draughts sits in our Board & Classic collection on WeiNing Games. Like every game here it runs in the browser using HTML5, so there is nothing to install and nothing to wait for — open the page, tap play and you are in. Sessions are short enough for a break between classes or a commute, but the better you get, the more there is to chase.

How to play Draughts

Click your piece, then click a highlighted square. You capture by jumping diagonally over an opponent's piece. Reach the far row to crown a king.

• Desktop: mouse and keyboard — click, drag or use the arrow keys.
• Mobile & tablet: tap, swipe or tilt depending on the title.
• Progress: most games save your best score or level on the device, so you can come back later.

Tips and tricks for Draughts

• Control the centre of the board; central pieces have more legal moves.
• Think about your opponent's best reply before you make your move.
• Do not rush trades — count the pieces before you commit.
